The Vagabond Lodge sits on a bluff overlooking the Columbia River Gorge, and is located on the outskirts of Hood River, Oregon.  It has spectacular views of the Gorge; birdwatchers can see Red-tailed Hawks and Bald Eagles riding the updrafts over the Gorge.  The Lodge is made up of five buildings which surround quiet grounds, beautifully landscaped with wildflowers and over 70 species of trees. The grounds contain picnic areas, and a playground.

Would you like to bathe in a clear mountain stream? The water at Vagabond Lodge is pure and chemical-free from a Mt. Hood spring, and is rated as some of the best in the U.S. Try the whirlpool in our whirlpool suite, filled with natural spring water!

The Lodge has 42 rooms, many of which look out onto the Gorge, and rooms with balconies are available.  There are 7 fireplace suites, 3 of those have kitchens, 2 have whirlpools.  There is a restaurant adjacent to the Lodge, and there are many more restaurants and shops in nearby Hood River.

Jerry Cranmer currently manages the Vagabond Lodge; he grew up in Hood River, and can offer visitors good ideas about places to go and things to do in the area.
